As part of our Hope project funded by Surrey County Council, we will be holding an art exhibition at the Horton Gallery in Epsom from 15 until 25 March 2023 to display artwork made by our clients expressing what Hope means to them, now that the worst of the pandemic is hopefully behind us. From poems and songs, to paintings, drawings, photographs and mosaics, visitors will be able to see a very unique collection of artwork from the local community.
The art exhibition is free to enter. The Horton Gallery is located at Haven Way, Epsom, Surrey, KT19 8NP and is currently open to the public for four days a week, Wednesday to Saturday, 9.15am-4.30pm. The main entrance, reception, atrium and performance space are fully accessible on the ground floor. For directions to get there, please visit the Horton Gallery website.

The Hope Project

Hope can come in many shapes and forms. For some it is linked to faith, others are inspired by nature, or other people. Hope can be linked to our mental health, as when we are well everything can seem possible but if we are struggling, hope may be difficult to find.
To explore the concept of Hope, we’ve launched the Hope project, funded by Surrey County Council. We’re holding a number of workshops and activities across our areas face-to-face and online, such as art groups, creative writing groups and walks all focused on finding Hope for the future now that (hopefully) the worse of the pandemic is behind us. Artwork produced during the groups can be submitted at any of our art exhibitions.
We will be holding three art exhibitions to display the Hope-themed artwork of our clients. The Epsom exhibition in Horton Art Club is the first of the series. We’re hoping to run another art exhibition in the Walton area soon.
